It’s the Canada Day long weekend. All our moving boxes are f i n a l l y unpacked and so we are just going to relax, drink rosé alfresco, and enjoy our new abode.
Tenuta Sant’Antonio ‘Scaia’ Rosato Veneto IGT 2017
Not a local grape, but an enticing and enchanting charmer from Italy, this rosé is made from 100% Rondinella grapes. Fresh and graceful at 12.5% it makes it the perfect lunch wine.
With an elegant glass stopper closure.
Light coral/gold in colour with a gorgeous array of pear, apricot, strawberry, pink grapefruit, rain washed slate and wildflower aromas. Strawberry, raspberry, apricot, melon and clean minerality are framed by light, citrus acidity. Juicy fruit lingers between each silky sip. Refreshing and cheerful, consistently a fantastic value and one of my fave go-to Rosés.

We missed the Canada Day pancake breakfast and slept in instead. So we made French Toast – the perfect platform for lots of Canadian maple syrup.
