Rose Gold Bubbles

Ah, what better way to wind down a sunny long weekend than with a glass of local bubbly.

This one from AVERILL CREEK is a charmer with gorgeous rose gold (yes, really) bubbles.

You’ve, no doubt, heard of the YSL Blogger Bag?

Well, I’ve dubbed this wine The Blogger Bubbly.

This sparkler is ever so stylish — with it’s surprising copperish hue, it glimmers in the glass (very Instagram-able). But it doesn’t try to get by on good looks alone —  it tastes delicious (in a subtle and elegant way, of course).

The palate is typically lively, featuring crisp apple and citrus flavours topped with toasty, nutty notes. An excellent apéritif or accompaniment to a light meal …

– Winemaker’s Notes

Rose gold is on trend with the metal and shade popping up on everything from jewellery, to electronics, to housewares. Even in the beauty realm, that holy grail sun-kissed golden glow has spurred the current highlighting craze.

Charlotte Tilbury’s FILMSTAR BRONZE & GLOW  and MATTE REVOLUTION LIPSTICK are housed within beautiful rose gold, Art Deco inspired cases. Along with a ZOEVA ROSE GOLD LUXURY POWDER BRUSH #106, this is makeup you want to display on a vanity, not hide in a drawer.

AVERILL CREEK CHARME DE L’ILE is a blend of Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir and is produced in the classic Charmat Method.

The Wine Islands Growers Association (WIGA) has registered “Charme de L’ile” as a region specific trade name for sparkling wines produced on Vancouver Island using exclusively Vancouver Island grapes.

The name plays with the name of the process used to make the wines, the Charmat Method, which uses stainless steel tanks for a second fermentation before bottling. The carbonation is entirely natural, resulting from the natural decomposition of sugar from added yeasts. This is the same technique used to make Italian Prosecco.

The bloggers stock-in-trade What’s In My Bag feature might well start to include this ingenious and practical little accessory: a Champagne Stopper. Cast from stainless steel, this bottle top clamps down and keeps your bubbly bubbly so you don’t have to finish the bottle, or waste it if you don’t. And it even fits in the Blogger Bag along with your lipstick, keys, and credit card.

Because as every blogger girl knows, a little bubbly in the fridge is never a bad thing.
