In a déjà vu fashion moment, Amal Clooney appeared at the premier of her husband, George Clooney’s film, Hail, Caesar!, in a look, by a designer, we have seen on her before.
Her floral appliqué mini-mini-dress by Giambattista Valli is remarkably similar to a dress she donned the day after her nuptials in Italy in 2014.
The 38-year-old attorney accessorised the frock with a pair of silver metallic Dior heels, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, a Jimmy Choo silver and gold metallic box clutch, and her dazzling £450,000 engagement ring (that she doesn’t wear to work because it is too “distracting”).
Amal’s make-up was flawless: radiant skin, neutral eye, lush lashes, and a bold red lip (is that Charlotte Tilbury’s Red Carpet Red?) And an elegant new look for her magnificent mane—an updo swept to one side and softly curled (is she giving the “lob” a test run?).
Amal evidently loves this skater-skirt style dress to accentuate her long, toned, legs. It is a beautiful dress, the colours are stunning (and she matched the movie poster!) But, in our (humble) opinion, thigh-skimming is just too short for a woman of her certain age. An above the knee length would have been both hipper and more sophisticated. I can also imagine it right down to the ground, but that’s just me.
