My four Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipsticks have claimed victory over all other lipsticks in my make-up collection. These are my favourites—the ones I reach for every day, (morning, noon, and night).
What makes them so fabulous? The square-shaped angled bullet means they are easy to apply with so much precision that you don’t necessarily need a lip-liner; are creamy, comfortable to wear, non-drying, buildable, and long lasting. Although they are matte, they aren’t flat, but look absolutely luminous on the lips. And, unlike another matte lipstick series I own, but don’t wear because they smell/taste like Play Dough, these have a lovely faint scent of vanilla and no descernible taste at all.
Once you buy one, you’ll want more. The colour range includes TEN shades that are gorgeous, highly-pigmented, and suitable for all skin tones. Oh, and the packaging is simply stunning: housed in heavy, ribbed, rose-gold tubes that evoke Old-Hollywood glamour, the Matte Revolution is a veritable beauty. Well done, Charlotte Tilbury!
From left to right: Bond Girl ( an on-trend brownish berry), Very Victoria (a wearable taupe nude, perfect with a smoky eye), Red Carpet Red (the perfect ruby red you’ve been searching for all your life), Love Liberty (a bold plummy red).
