Our Daily Bread

The magic of yeast never ceases to amaze me. The perfect platform for butter.

My formula:

  • 3 c. bread flour
  • 1 tsp instant yeast
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1½ c. warm waterIMG_2647

Mix it up. Let it do its magic for 8 hrs. Then form dough into a round using a stretch and fold technique. Let rise 1 hr. Bake ( 450°F. ) in a cast iron pot (25 minutes lid on/ 20 minutes lid off) or on a baking stone (about 20 minutes).
